Competition

Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Venue

Szeged Olympic Center

The Maty-ér Race Track, officially known as the Szeged Olympic Center, is one of the world’s best-performing kayak and rowing facilities. The almost 2 and a half kilometer long 130-meter-wide track is also suitable for the most prestigious international competitions. In addition to kayak canoeing and rowing, it is also an excellent venue for training camps in other sports. The Olympic Center also offers leisure athletes (motorboat, water skiing, triathlon, sport fishing).

Being an artificial course, current is not an issue here and it is quite well sheltered from strong winds as well. It is equipped with a new Albano system and has nine lanes along with a separate warm-up line. There will be electric time keeping with a photo finish camera and video recording. Automatic starting system will be used for the start. The facility fully meets the ICF requirements.
