Accommodation
Throughout the event, delegations will be accommodated in facilities selected for their comfort, proximity to the competition venues, and quality of service.
The partner hotels provide services tailored to the needs of athletes and officials, including catering, accessibility, and areas for rest and preparation.
Below, you will find detailed information for each accommodation facility.
Hotels
During the 2026 FISU World University Championships, participants will be hosted in several modern and comfortable facilities located around Sukoró, Velence, Gárdony, and Székesfehérvár, all within a 1–1.5-hour drive (approximately 75 km) from Budapest International Airport. The hotels and dormitories are close to the Kovács Katalin National Kayak-Canoe Academy Regatta Course, ensuring convenient access via organized shuttle services.

All official hotels are connected to the regatta venue by a shuttle bus system, operating according to the daily competition schedule.
Location & Visual Appeal
The accommodations are situated in the picturesque lakeside region near Lake Velence, offering scenic views, sports facilities, and a relaxed natural environment ideal for recovery and team gatherings. In addition to the lakeside options, accommodation is also available in nearby Székesfehérvár, a historic and vibrant city providing a comfortable urban setting with excellent infrastructure and easy access to the competition venue.
The hotels ensure a balance between comfort, functionality, and convenient proximity to the event location, whether in the tranquil lakeside surroundings or the dynamic city environment.
Cancellation
Should you cancel or modify your hotel booking, a charge will be made equivalent to any loss suffered by the Host Organising Committee, as itemised below. The amount of the cancellation fee will be calculated as a percent of the accommodation fee according to the following period of notice given:
- No cancellation fee, if cancelled until 17 May 2026
- 50% cancellation fee, if cancelled between 18 May – 16 July, 2026
- 100% cancellation fee / non-refundable, if cancelled on or after 17 July 2026
Please, note that in case you submit your room reservation after the reservation deadline (17 May 2026) and we are able to confirm your request, the relevant cancellation terms will come into effect immediately from the moment of your reservation.
Room Distribution Policy
The Organising Committee will ensure full compliance with the FISU accommodation standards. All participants will be housed in twin rooms as the default arrangement, while Heads of Delegation will be accommodated in single rooms. Room allocation will strictly respect FISU principles: no mixing of countries, genders, or athletes with officials. All arrangements will be implemented to guarantee fairness, comfort, and operational efficiency for every delegation.
